OYSTERS ANYONE?

There's nothing better than starting a meal with a dozen cool oysters and a splash of LORENZA PICPOUL BLANC. If you've never had the pleasure of serving oysters at home, we highly recommend checking out the OYSTER STARTER KIT from Hog Island Oyster Company. Invite some friends, make a mignonette and learn how to shuck! Party is on! 

Oyster Mignonette and Granita
1/4 cup Lorenza Picpoul Blanc
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 T. finely minced shallot
1 T. finely minced fresh mint leaves or tarragon
A couple of fresh grinds of black or white pepper
A squeeze of Meyer lemon

Combine all ingredients except for lemon about 15-20 minutes before serving.

Add Meyer lemon right before serving in a small bowl.

For an extra special frosty twist, make one batch a few hours in advance and freeze in a shallow glass container. Use the tines of a fork to scrape and fluff the frozen mignonette into a granita and spoon onto freshly shucked oysters. Oh la la!
