The 2023 Carignan, Rauser Vineyard is ruby red with fragrance of dried cranberry, ripe cherry and earth all of which follow onto the palate with freshness and vigor. The red fruits are spiked with spices that hint at cinnamon, black pepper, and a dusting of cayenne. Tannins are subtle and present. The finish is spicy, warm and earthy.
One of our early sources for the Rosé, we considered the Rauser Vineyard to be found treasure with it's unexpectedly bright fruit. We are delighted to present this delightfully elegant version of Carignan from this ancient vineyard planted in the early 1900s and located within the famed Victor Triangle.
